For the Dragon Sauce
  • 1 cup mayonnaise Use full-fat for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup honey Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Ensure it's Halal.
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha Adjust based on your spice preference.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice Freshly squeezed is best.

Preparation
  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, honey, soy sauce, and lime juice. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Gently fold in the sriracha, garlic powder, and onion powder. Taste the sauce, and if you want more heat, add more sriracha.
  3. Sprinkle in salt and pepper, and adjust to your liking. Mix again until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  4. Let the sauce sit in the fridge for at least 10 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld beautifully.

Notes

For a healthier alternative, use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise. Avoid over-mixing to maintain creaminess. Store in an airtight container; it lasts for about 5 days in the fridge and can be frozen in small portions.
