- Pour the batter into a greased cast-iron skillet or baking dish.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cornbread to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve it warm on its own or with a spread of butter or honey.
