Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 to 4 pieces ripe bananas Use ripe bananas for the sweetest flavor.
  • 1 box vanilla wafers
  • 1 5 oz box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk Use whole milk for a creamier texture.
  • 1 8 oz tub whipped topping Can substitute with a non-dairy version if preferred.
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk For drizzling on top.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  2. Place a layer of vanilla wafers on the bottom of a suitable serving dish.
  3. Add a layer of the prepared pudding, followed by a layer of sliced bananas.
  4. Repeat layering with wafers, pudding, and bananas until the dish is filled, ensuring the top layer is pudding.
  5. Spread the whipped topping over the final layer of pudding.
  6. Optionally, drizzle a bit of sweetened condensed milk or sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers on top for decoration.
  7. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Notes

Can be refrigerated for up to 3 days; freeze for longer storage but expect texture changes. Best served cold directly from the fridge.
