Cake Base
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted Use Halal-compliant butter.
  • 1 large egg
Gooey Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure it's at room temperature for smooth mixing.
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree Can substitute with applesauce for a different flavor.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Mix until well combined.
  3. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and evenly press the cake mixture into the bottom to form a crust.
  4. In another bowl, blend together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, pumpkin puree, 2 eggs, vanilla extract, pumpkin spice, and salt until smooth and creamy.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake base, ensuring even coverage across the top.
Baking
  1. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center appears set yet gooey.
  2. Allow the cake to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
