Delicious Prestige Roulade: A Delightful Treat

Ingredients
  

  • For the Cake:
  • 6 egg whites
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 6 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • 6 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • Butter or margarine for greasing
  • For the Coconut Filling:
  • 1 package of fresh grated coconut
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • For the Ganache:
  • 200 g boxed cream
  • 400 g of milk chocolate
  • For the Coconut Syrup:
  • 200 g coarsely grated fresh coconut
  • 1 cup sugar

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Oven and Cake Mixture: Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius. In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff, then gradually add the egg yolks and sugar, beating until smooth. Fold in the flour and baking powder gently.
  2. Prepare the Pan: Grease a 38 x 26 cm pan with butter or margarine. Line it with parchment paper and grease the parchment as well.
  3. Bake the Cake: Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 15 minutes. After baking, check with a toothpick to make sure it comes out clean.
  4. Cool and Fill the Cake: Once done, turn the cake out onto a clean surface. Fill it with the coconut filling (prepared next) and gently roll it up using the parchment paper.
  5. Make the Coconut Filling: In a pot, combine the condensed milk with grated coconut. Cook on medium heat until thickened, optionally adding margarine for richness.
  6. Prepare the Ganache: Chop the milk chocolate into small pieces and melt it in the microwave. Once melted, mix in the cream until you achieve a silky texture.
  7. Prepare the Coconut Syrup: In another saucepan, combine the grated coconut with sugar and simmer until it becomes a thin syrup.
  8. Your Delicious Prestige Roulade is ready to shine!
