  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Use high-quality for richer flavor.
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup hot water Carefully stir in.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir to mix well.
  3. Gradually mix in the melted butter, vanilla extract, and eggs, incorporating them into the dry ingredients until a batter forms.
  4. Carefully stir in the hot water to create a thin batter.
  5. Grease a pie dish or baking pan, then pour the batter in evenly.
Baking
  1. Place the pie in the oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes. The center should still be soft.
Serving
  1. Allow cooling slightly before serving. Drizzle with additional hot fudge sauce and top with your favorite ice cream.

Notes

Serve with vanilla or coffee ice cream, whipped cream, and chopped nuts. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days.
