Ingredients

Brownie Base
  • 2 cups brownies, prepared and cut into cubes
Layers & Toppings
  • 1 cup caramel sauce, store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups whipped cream, preferably homemade For best flavor
  • ½ cup chocolate syrup For drizzling
  • ½ cup chopped nuts Optional, for added crunch
  • ¼ cup chocolate shavings Optional, for decoration

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting your brownies into small cubes. If making brownies from scratch, allow them to cool completely before cutting.
Layering the Trifle
  1. In a large glass trifle bowl or individual dessert cups, start by adding a layer of brownie cubes at the bottom.
  2. Drizzle a generous amount of caramel sauce over the brownie layer.
  3. Spoon a thick layer of whipped cream over the caramel. You can add it as a flat layer or dollop it for a textured finish.
  4. Continue layering in the following order until you reach the top of the bowl: brownie cubes, caramel sauce, and whipped cream. Aim for at least three layers for the best presentation.
  5. Drizzle chocolate syrup on top and sprinkle with chopped nuts and chocolate shavings if using.
  6. Cover gently with plastic wrap and let it chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For gluten-free, use gluten-free brownies. Store leftovers covered in the fridge and consume within 3 days for best texture. Assemble components separately for freezing. Avoid overmixing whipped cream.
