Ingredients

For the Rolls
  • 1 package crescent roll dough (8 oz) Make sure to check for gluten-free options if needed.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries Use fresh rather than frozen for best results.
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting) For serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy—about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Gently fold in the fresh blueberries, being careful not to crush them.
  4. Unroll the crescent roll dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet and pinch the seams to form a large rectangle.
  5. Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture across the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. Starting from one end, roll the dough tightly into a log and seal the edges well.
  7. Slice the rolled dough into about 8 equal pieces and lay them cut-side up on the baking sheet.
  8. In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush the tops of the rolls with the egg wash.
Baking
  1. Bake the rolls in the oven for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Store rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze before baking. To reheat, microwave for 20-30 seconds or warm in the oven.
