Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a food processor, add the pitted dates and walnuts, pulse until they’re finely chopped and mixed well.
- Add the cocoa powder, almond flour, maple syrup, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Process until everything is combined into a thick batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly using a spatula.
- Place the pan in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes. The brownies should be set and slightly firm to the touch.
- Once baked, let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer them onto a cooling rack. Once cool, cut them into squares.
Notes
Experiment with different nuts and toppings for customization. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week. Freeze for about 3 months for longer storage.
