  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips Use high-quality chips for best flavor.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, dark brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix well until smooth.
  3. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, blending until completely combined.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the baking soda and salt. Gradually incorporate this mixture into your wet ingredients, stirring until well combined.
  5. Gently add the dark chocolate chips to the cookie dough and ensure they are evenly distributed.
  6. Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between them.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  2. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months, separating layers with parchment paper.
