Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, dark brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix well until smooth.
- Add in the egg and vanilla extract, blending until completely combined.
- In another bowl, mix together the baking soda and salt. Gradually incorporate this mixture into your wet ingredients, stirring until well combined.
- Gently add the dark chocolate chips to the cookie dough and ensure they are evenly distributed.
- Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between them.
Baking
- Place the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months, separating layers with parchment paper.
