Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the dark chocolate chunks.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space in between.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding sea salt on top or a sprinkling of chopped nuts. To refine further, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
