Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a round or square baking pan with butter.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Create a well in the dry ingredients, then add sweetened condensed milk, milk, and melted butter. Add vanilla extract if using. Mix until just combined.
- Transfer the batter to the greased baking pan and smooth the top.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean.
Cooling
- Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store at room temperature for 2-3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze individually wrapped slices for up to three months.
