  • 1 head of iceberg or romaine lettuce, chopped Provide a crunchy base
  • 1 cup ranch dressing (preferably Halal-certified) Adjust quantity to taste
  • 1 cup croutons Add just before serving to maintain crunch
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved For a pop of color
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced Adds flavor and crunch

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash cucumbers and cherry tomatoes under cool water.
  2. Dice the cucumbers into small cubes, slice the cherry tomatoes in half, and thinly slice the red onion.
Mixing
  1. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss together the chopped lettuce, diced cucumbers, halved cherry tomatoes, and the sliced red onion.
Dressing and Serving
  1. Drizzle ranch dressing over the salad mixture and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Gently fold in the croutons just before serving.
  3. Serve immediately for the best crunch.

Notes

For best results, avoid mixing in croutons if storing leftovers. Keep the salad fresh and enjoy it cold or at room temperature.
