#### **Step 1: Activate the Yeast**
In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for **5-10 minutes** until foamy.
#### **Step 2: Mix the Dough**
In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, oregano, and Parmesan.
Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, mixing until a rough dough forms.
#### **Step 3: Knead the Dough**
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for **8-10 minutes** until smooth and elastic.
Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for **1 hour**, or until doubled in size.
#### **Step 4: Shape & Second Rise**
Punch down the dough and shape into a round or oval loaf.
Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cover loosely and let rise for **30 minutes**.
#### **Step 5: Bake the Bread**
Preheat oven to **425°F (220°C)**.
Brush the loaf with olive oil, sprinkle with Parmesan, and lightly dust with garlic powder.
Score the top with a sharp knife and bake for **25-30 minutes**, or until golden brown.
#### **Step 6: Cool & Serve**
Let cool for at least **10 minutes** before slicing.
