- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Gently loosen the kataifi dough with your fingers to separate the strands.
- In a large bowl, pour the melted butter over the kataifi and mix thoroughly until well-coated.
- Spread half of the kataifi mixture evenly in the bottom of a greased baking dish.
Cooking
- In a saucepan over low heat, combine the dark chocolate, sugar, milk, and a pinch of salt. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the kataifi base, spreading it out evenly. Top with the remaining kataifi and press down gently.
- Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Serving
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before cutting into bars. Serve warm or at room temperature.
- Garnish with optional toppings like chopped nuts or dried fruits.
