  • 1 package frozen pierogi (cheese and potato or your choice)
  • 1 pound beef sausage, sliced (ensure Halal-friendly)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by slicing the beef sausage and dicing the onion.
Layering Ingredients
  1. In your crockpot, start by layering half of the frozen pierogi at the bottom.
  2. Add half of the beef sausage and half of the onion.
  3. Top this with a layer of cheese and pour half of the cream of mushroom soup over everything.
Repeat Layers
  1. Repeat the layering process with the remaining pierogi, sausage, onions, cheese, and cream of mushroom soup.
Add Broth and Season
  1. Pour the beef broth over the layers, ensuring even distribution. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for about 4-5 hours.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, give the casserole a gentle stir and serve hot with a dollop of sour cream if desired.

Notes

You can refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
