  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Pat dry before seasoning.
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Or tamari for a gluten-free option.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
Thickening Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water For thickening the sauce.
Seasoning

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
Cooking
  1. Place the seasoned chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Pour the honey garlic mixture over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or high for 2-3 hours until tender.
  4. 15 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch and water in a bowl and stir into the crockpot to thicken the sauce.
Serving
  1. Shred the chicken if desired and drizzle with additional sauce before serving.
  2. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For added depth, consider adding rice vinegar or crushed red pepper flakes. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for 2-3 months.
