Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • to taste Salt and pepper Add according to preference
  • as needed Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by lightly greasing your crockpot for easy cleanup.
  2. Place the 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the packet of Italian dressing, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and cream cheese until everything is blissfully combined.
Cooking
  1. Pour the creamy sauce over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are fully coated.
  2. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste, adding extra seasoning if desired.
  3. Cover your slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is fork-tender.
  4. Once cooked, shred the chicken in the pot using two forks and stir until well-combined.
  5. Top with fresh parsley before serving. Serve over rice, pasta, or your favorite side dish.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute cream cheese with Greek yogurt. Ensure to maintain the right liquid-to-chicken ratio in the crockpot to prevent drying.
