Preparation
- Begin by slicing the onions and mushrooms.
- Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder over both sides of the cube steak.
Cooking
- Place the sliced onions and mushrooms at the bottom of the crock pot.
- Layer the seasoned cube steaks on top of the veggies.
- In a measuring cup, combine beef broth, milk, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour this mixture over the steaks.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the cube steak is tender. Alternatively, cook on high for 4-5 hours if short on time.
- Once done, taste the gravy and adjust seasonings if needed. Serve with your choice of sides.
Notes
If you have leftovers, let cool and store in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat over low heat until warmed through.
