Preparation
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat if necessary. Transfer the cooked beef into your crock pot.
- Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, diced potatoes, chopped carrots, and celery into the crock pot with the beef.
- Pour in the beef broth and stir to mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking
- Cover the crock pot and set it on low heat for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and milk about 30 minutes before serving, allowing them to melt and merge into the soup for a luscious consistency.
Serving
- Once everything is heated through, and the cheese is melted, give it one last stir, and enjoy a delightful bowl of Crock Pot Cheeseburger Soup!
Notes
For substitutions, ground chicken or turkey can be used, and you can swap in your favorite vegetables based on availability. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat with a splash of milk for best texture.
