Preparation
- Soak the cleaned squid rings in milk for at least 30 minutes to tenderize.
- In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika together.
- Heat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat until hot.
- Remove the squid rings from the milk, allowing excess milk to drip off. Dredge each ring in the flour mixture until fully coated.
Cooking
- Carefully place the coated squid rings into the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Fry in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Remove the fried squid from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce.
Notes
Serve with lemon wedges, garlic dipping sauce, spicy marinara, or alongside a fresh garden salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
