Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 large large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 oz ranch seasoning mix 1 package
  • 6 cups cubed bread preferably day-old
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or a blend of your choice
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled halal turkey sausage as a pork alternative
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, ranch seasoning mix, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the cubed bread to the egg mixture, allowing the bread to soak up all that flavor. Toss in the cooked turkey sausage, green onions, and shredded cheddar cheese, ensuring everything is evenly mixed.
  4. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and pour the mixture inside. Spread it out evenly for uniform cooking.
  5. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 40–45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set. A toothpick inserted should come out clean.
  6. Once out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes before cutting it into squares. Serve warm and enjoy!
