Preparation
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In three separate bowls, place the flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch more of salt and pepper.
- Dredge each chop in flour, shaking off the excess, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat thoroughly with the panko breadcrumbs.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray.
- Place the breaded pork chops in a single layer in the basket and spray the tops with more olive oil. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and reaching an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Let the pork chops rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, season every layer—pork, flour, egg, and panko. Allow chops to rest after cooking for juiciness. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
