  • 4 cups cooked pasta (any shape you prefer, like penne or rotini)
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, diced (ensure it's halal)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce Check for halal-compliant ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, diced chicken, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, half of the mozzarella cheese, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Top the casserole with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the top.
Baking
  1. Place the casserole in the oven and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  2. Let the casserole sit for 5-10 minutes before serving to let it set.

Notes

To enhance flavor, consider adding veggies like spinach or bell peppers. For an extra crispy top, broil the casserole for the last 2-3 minutes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
