  • 1 tablespoon baking powder Not baking soda—this is key for crispiness!
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika Adjust to your taste.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • optional your choice of wing sauce (buffalo, honey garlic, or BBQ) For tossing after baking.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse the chicken wings in cold water, then pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper.
  4. Toss the dried chicken wings in the bowl with the seasoning mix until fully coated.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the chicken wings in a single layer.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 40-45 minutes.
  2. Flip the wings halfway through for even cooking.
  3. Check for doneness—wings should be golden brown and have an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Serving
  1. If desired, toss the wings in your favorite sauce before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes.
