  • 1 can crescent rolls Use any brand
Egg Mixture
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk Any type of milk will work
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Choose your favorite cheese
  • 1 cup diced Halal-friendly protein (such as turkey sausage or diced chicken) Choose your preferred protein
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to your taste
  • 1 cup diced vegetables (optional, like bell peppers, onions, or spinach) Add for extra flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the can of crescent rolls and lay them in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, pressing them down to form a solid base.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, crack the eggs and add the milk, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well-combined and frothy.
  4. Fold in your choice of diced Halal-friendly protein, shredded cheese, and optional diced vegetables into the egg mixture.
  5. Pour the egg, cheese, and protein mixture evenly over the crescent rolls, spreading it out with a spatula if needed.
Baking
  1. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is puffed up and golden brown on top.
  2. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy with your favorite fruit or a side salad.

Notes

For perfect results, don't rush the baking time and avoid using too much liquid in your egg mixture. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for 2 months.
