  • Preheat your oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cream the butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy—a good 2 to 3 minutes will do!
  • Incorporate the eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Mix the dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

  • Scoop and space: Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each ball.
