- Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Step 2: Make the Vodka Sauce
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, diced onion, and red pepper flakes. Cook until the onion is softened, about 3-4 minutes. Pour in the vodka and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the alcohol to cook off. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and oregano. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Step 3: Combine and Serve
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Garnish with fresh basil, parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese. Serve hot with crusty bread on the side.
