  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Enhances the savory profile.
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth Use your preference; adjusts overall flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Makes the soup rich and creamy.
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese Adds a savory, gooey texture.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning Brings aromatic flavor to the soup.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust depending on preference.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For sautéing the sausage.
  • for garnish Fresh parsley (optional) Adds freshness and color.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced halal beef sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  2. Once the sausage is browned, add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onion has softened and become translucent.
  3. Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, and add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine all the flavors.
  4. Bring the soup to a gentle boil. Add the ditalini pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat to low, and slowly stir in the heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Let the soup simmer for another 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and an extra sprinkle of parmesan cheese if desired. Serve hot, and enjoy every comforting spoonful!

Notes

Substitutions: Use turkey sausage for a leaner option. Timing: Ensure pasta is cooked al dente. Stir gently when adding cream and cheese to prevent curdling. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
