Layering
- In a large trifle dish or individual serving cups, layer the cream mixture at the bottom.
- Add a layer of sliced bananas over the cream, followed by a layer of vanilla wafers.
- Repeat these layers until you run out of ingredients, finishing with a layer of the cream mixture on top.
Chilling
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Serving
- Just before serving, add a dollop of whipped cream on top if desired.
Notes
For a lower-calorie option, consider using light cream or coconut cream. Always slice bananas just before assembly to avoid mushiness. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, but best enjoyed within 1-2 days.
