Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk. Add vanilla extract and blend until smooth and fluffy.
Layering
  1. In a large trifle dish or individual serving cups, layer the cream mixture at the bottom.
  2. Add a layer of sliced bananas over the cream, followed by a layer of vanilla wafers.
  3. Repeat these layers until you run out of ingredients, finishing with a layer of the cream mixture on top.
Chilling
  1. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Serving
  1. Just before serving, add a dollop of whipped cream on top if desired.

Notes
