Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Rinse the tilapia fillets in cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
Cooking
- Season the tilapia fillets with salt and pepper, then place them in the skillet.
- Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and flaky. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the lemon juice and simmer for one more minute.
Making the Sauce
- Stir in the heavy cream, dried oregano, and dried basil. Let the sauce simmer until it thickens slightly, around 2-3 minutes.
Combining
- Add the tilapia back into the skillet, letting them bask in the creamy sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
If using yogurt instead of heavy cream, it will provide a lighter, tangy flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
