Preparation
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cooking
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape any browned bits from the pan to add flavor. Allow the broth to simmer for about 3-5 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Stir in heavy cream, thyme, and parsley. Simmer for another 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and coat it in the creamy sauce, allowing it to simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, serve, and enjoy!
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes or rice to soak up the sauce. Pair with a vibrant green salad or roasted vegetables for a balanced meal.
