Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 14 ounces baby bella mushrooms (sliced) Fresh mushrooms enhance flavor and texture.
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced) Be careful not to let it burn!
  • ½ cup heavy cream Can substitute with coconut milk for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese Add at the end for creaminess.
  • to taste Fresh parsley (for garnish, chopped)

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by slicing the mushrooms into even pieces to ensure they cook uniformly.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add in the sliced mushrooms and cook them for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they become tender and golden brown.
  2. Toss in the minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream, followed by Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir the mixture well, allowing it to simmer for about 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts completely, creating a luscious, creamy consistency.
  5. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and enjoy your scrumptious mushrooms right away while they’re still warm!

Notes

These mushrooms can be served over rice or polenta. A side salad or glass of white wine complements this dish.
