Ingredients

For the Creamy Base
  • 200 g cream cheese Ensure it's at room temperature for smooth mixing.
  • 100 ml heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For the Chicken Layer
  • 300 g cooked chicken, shredded Ensure chicken is cooked and shredded ahead of time.
For Garnish
  • Fresh herbs for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and heavy cream. Mix well until the texture becomes smooth and creamy.
  2. Stir in the mustard and lemon juice. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Mix until the ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Grab your serving glasses or verrine containers. Start by adding a generous layer of the chicken at the bottom of each glass.
  4. Spoon the creamy cheese mixture over the shredded chicken, creating a beautiful layer atop the chicken.
  5. Finish off with a sprinkle of fresh herbs for that pop of color and freshness.
  6. If desired, chill the verrines in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld together.

Notes

For substitutions, Greek yogurt can be used instead of cream cheese for a slightly tangier flavor. Prepare the layers ahead of time for easy assembly when serving. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; do not freeze.
