Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface until it’s about ¼-inch thick.
- Use a sharp knife to cut an outline of a tree shape in the pastry. Don’t cut all the way through; this will be your guide.
- Place the wheel of Camembert in the center of your tree shape. Spoon cranberry sauce on top, followed by a sprinkle of chopped pistachios.
- Make cuts along the edges of the tree shape, about 1 inch apart, being careful not to cut through the center. These will become the 'branches' of your tree.
- Gently twist each branch slightly to create a layered effect that resembles a Christmas tree.
- Brush the entire pastry with the beaten egg to achieve a golden finish when baked.
Baking
- Place the pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serving
- Optionally, garnish with fresh herbs before presenting the delicious tree to your guests.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes until warmed through.
