Ingredients
  

Pasta and Chicken
  • 12 oz linguine pasta Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
Butter Sauce
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks) Melt for cooking chicken.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adds flavor to the sauce.
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper Adjust to taste.
  • Salt to taste salt
  • Pepper to taste pepper
Garnish
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.
  • Parmesan cheese optional Parmesan cheese, grated For topping.

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the chicken pieces and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined. If the mixture seems dry, add a bit more butter.
  6. Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and optionally top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. This dish also freezes well for up to a month. To reheat, thaw overnight and warm in a skillet with a splash of water or milk.
