Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
- In another bowl, whisk together the cottage cheese, egg, and olive oil.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 1-2 minutes.
- Divide the dough into four equal pieces, roll each piece into a ball, and poke a hole in the center.
- If desired, brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with your favorite toppings.
Baking
- Place the bagels on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow them to cool for a few minutes before enjoying.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Freeze for up to 3 months and reheat at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-10 minutes.
