Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted Use unsalted butter for better control over the saltiness.
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
Additions
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Fold into the batter before baking.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Let the brownies cool completely in the dish before lifting them out. Before serving, sprinkle rainbow sprinkles on top.

Notes

To add a crunch, consider mixing in walnuts or pecans. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
