Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of melted unsalted butter. Stir in 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1 tablespoon of freshly chopped parsley if desired.
- Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Baking
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack. Slice while warm and enjoy!
Notes
To keep your bread fresh, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze wrapped slices for up to a month. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
