Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups heavy cream Ensure freshness for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup whole milk Can substitute with low-fat milk if desired.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar Can be swapped with brown sugar for a caramel flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds a warm flavor to the ice cream.
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies Crush into chunky pieces for texture.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Use a whisk to mix until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is creamy.
  2. Stir in the vanilla extract, giving your ice cream that warm, homemade flavor that everyone loves.
  3. In a separate bowl, crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into chunky pieces.
  4. Gently fold in the crushed cookies into the ice cream mixture. Make sure to distribute them evenly.
  5. Pour the mixture into an airtight container. Seal it tightly and place it in the freezer. Let it freeze for at least 4-6 hours or until firm.
  6. Once your ice cream has set, scoop it into bowls or cones, and enjoy.

Notes

For a smoother texture, stir the ice cream mixture every hour for the first few hours of freezing. Store in an airtight container and consume within 1-2 weeks for best flavor.
