Ingredients

Brownie Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted Best when melted gently.
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs Room temperature.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract Pure vanilla gives the best flavor.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder For rich chocolate flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos) Add for texture and flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar until well blended.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the crushed cookies until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, using a spatula to spread it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (but not wet batter).
  2. Let it cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before transferring the brownies to a wire rack to cool completely. Once set, cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, top with vanilla ice cream or chocolate syrup. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
