Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the brownie mix by following the instructions on the box, combining with water, oil, and eggs as directed.
Baking
  1. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared dish and bake according to package instructions, usually around 20-25 minutes.
  2. Check for doneness using a toothpick; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
Frosting
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract; mix until creamy.
