Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
- Blend in the egg, followed by the vanilla and almond extracts. Mix until well incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until fully combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the colorful sprinkles.
- Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or grease it lightly. Spread the batter evenly in the dish.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, lift out using the parchment paper and cut into squares.
Notes
For best results, avoid overmixing the batter to maintain a soft texture. Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days at room temperature or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave for 15-20 seconds for softness.
