Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, mix together the light brown sugar and ground cinnamon for the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until well combined.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Gently fold in the diced apples.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Use a knife to swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter.
Baking
- Place the loaf in the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months.
