Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mix and stir well to incorporate everything evenly. If adding nuts or raisins, fold them in gently.
Baking
- Grease your baking dish with oil or butter, and transfer the oatmeal mixture into it, spreading evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Serving
- Allow to cool slightly before drizzling with icing, if desired. Cut into squares and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze individual portions for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or oven when ready to eat.
