Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Start by carefully cutting the fresh pineapple into rings, about ½ inch thick for even frying.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon, mixing well until fully combined.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it’s bubbly and slightly foamy.
- Add the pineapple rings to the skillet, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until beautifully caramelized.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the pineapple during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt and coat the fruit.
- Once the pineapple is golden and sticky, remove it from the heat.
- Serve warm, either on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.
Notes
Keep the following tips in mind: Use ripe pineapple for the best taste, do not overcrowd the pan, and feel free to experiment with spices like nutmeg or cayenne for a twist.
