Cinnamon Donut Bread Recipe

Cinnamon Donut Bread combines the warm, comforting flavors of a classic cinnamon donut with the ease of a quick bread. With a moist, tender crumb and a cinnamon-sugar topping, this bread is perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a sweet afternoon snack.

Ingredients
  

  • #### For the Bread:
  • - 2 cups 250g all-purpose flour
  • - 1 cup 200g granulated sugar
  • - 1 tsp baking powder
  • - 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • - 1/2 tsp salt
  • - 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • - 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • - 1 cup 240ml buttermilk
  • - 1/4 cup 60ml vegetable oil
  • - 2 large eggs
  • - 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • #### For the Cinnamon-Sugar Topping:
  • - 1/4 cup 50g granulated sugar
  • - 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • - 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted

Method
 

  1. #### Prepare the Bread:
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  6. #### Bake:
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a cooling rack.
  10. #### Add the Topping:
  11. In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Brush the melted butter over the top of the warm bread, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over it.
