Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
Baking
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar on top.
- Add the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Drizzle with icing if desired before serving!
Notes
Leftover Cinnamon Donut Bread can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days, refrigerated for up to a week, or frozen for up to three months. To reheat, slice and warm in the microwave for 20-30 seconds or toast for a few minutes.
