  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
Chocolate and Toppings
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Halal-certified options are available.
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease an 8×8 inch square baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and flour.
  4. In another bowl, mix the milk and vanilla extract. Gradually combine the wet and dry mixtures until smooth.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over the surface.
Baking
  1. Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  2. During the last 5 minutes of baking, sprinkle the mini marshmallows over the cake.
Serving
  1. Let the cake cool slightly before serving it warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. You can freeze individual portions for up to 3 months.
