Ingredients

Smoothie Base
  • 1 each frozen banana A must for that creamy texture!
  • 1 cup almond milk Any plant-based milk works, but almond is preferred for this recipe.
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter Use creamy peanut butter for smooth blending.
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder For a rich chocolate flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Sweeten to taste or omit for a low-sugar treat.
Toppings
  • 1 each sliced banana
  • 1 handful granola
  • 1 handful chocolate chips

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Ensure that your banana is frozen to achieve the perfect creamy consistency.
Blending
  1. In a blender, combine the frozen banana, almond milk, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and honey or maple syrup. Blend until smooth and creamy. If it's too thick, add a bit more almond milk until you achieve your desired consistency.
Serving
  1. Pour the smoothie into a bowl and top with sliced bananas, a sprinkle of granola, and a handful of chocolate chips. Get creative with your toppings!
  2. Grab a spoon and dig in!

Notes

For substitutions, use almond or cashew butter instead of peanut butter if needed. Prepare toppings while blending to save time. Store leftovers in the fridge, but the texture may change slightly. Blend again before serving if necessary. Avoid freezing the smoothie bowl.
